Dolch Sight Words Bingo Cards

Sight words are words that students must learn to recognize in order to achieve English reading fluency. They are generally common words, and in many cases are words that cannot be heard at all, or at least cannot be heard easily. Because these words are important, common, but can be difficult to learn, teachers therefore tend to place a lot of emphasis on learning them. Over the years a number of lists of such sight words have been developed by various researchers, although the most famous is the so-called Dolch Sight Word List, which was first developed by Edward William Dolch phD for his 1948 book, “Problems in Reading ” (Dolch developed his list based on their frequency in children’s books of the time).
Today teachers use sight word lists in a variety of classroom activities designed to help children learn to recognize words quickly. As well as normal reading practice, the words are also used on flash cards and in classroom games such as sight word bingo. The latter being a version of bingo, designed to be played by students (the teacher takes the part of the bingo caller), but using bingo cards printed with sight words rather than the usual set of numbers สล็อตpg.
It is possible to buy preprinted sight word bingo cards, but many teachers prefer to print their own. This not only can work out cheaply in the long run, but this way the teacher can choose the exact items that they want to appear on the bingo cards. Furthermore as students progress, other variants of bingo can also be introduced into classes, such as vocabulary bingo (teacher reads a definition, and students must find a matching word), phonemic awareness bingo (bingo cards with letters are used, teacher reads a word , and students must find the square with the same initial letter), and bingo for other subjects such as math.
